Germane Systems Receives Award for Commitment To Manufacturing Excellence

The Association for Manufacturing Excellence (AME) recognized Germane Systems for their continued commitment to manufacturing excellence. A plaque was presented to Germane by Mr. Glenn Marshall of the AME during a tour of the Germane facility by attendees from the AME International Conference. 28 AME members visited to Germane to learn more about Germane’s Lean manufacturing processes and about Germane’s commitment to continuous process improvement.

 

Germane Systems Recognized by Governor of Virginia

Virginia Deputy Secretary of Commerce and Trade Carrie Cantrell presented a letter from Governor McDonnell to Germane Systems. “The Commonwealth of Virginia supports the Association for Manufacturing Excellence (AME)'s initiative for the Rebirth of Manufacturing Jobs. Virginia's manufacturing sector continues to grow. We are proud of the companies the Commonwealth boasts, and in particular, Germane Systems for being selected as a tour site for AME's 2010 International Conference. Virginia joins the Association in focusing on supporting small-to-mid-sized manufacturing businesses credited with creating 75 percent of new jobs. The Commonwealth recognizes that manufacturing drives technology, productivity and innovation across all industry sectors. The Governor endorses the “Rebirth of Manufacturing” initiative, through which the collaborative sharing of best practices to make organizations more competitive will lead to the creation of countless new jobs.

Germane Systems Makes Virginia's "Fantastic 50"

Germane Systems was honored as a Virginia Vanguard winner with the highest growth rate in manufacturing. The Virginia Chamber announced 50 of Virginia's fastest growing companies at the FANTASTIC 50 Banquet Thursday, April 27 at the Westfield’s Marriott in Chantilly. Germane Systems was recognized as the fastest growing company in the manufacturing segment and the third fastest growing company overall in the Commonwealth of Virginia. This year marked the eleventh celebration of 50 of Virginia’s fastest growing companies. This elegant yet electric event has been called “a big pep rally for entrepreneurs.” The winners’ success and their contribution to Virginia’s economy in job creation and capital investment are showcased at the banquet.
