Years with Germane: 4 years
What three adjectives best describe you?
How would you describe your role at Germane?
My role at Germane is to lead team members in how to prepare kits for builders. Often times I train new and existing employees on workmanship that will follow IPC standards.
Why are you the best person for this position?
I have been working in this type of business since 1974. My certifications and training include: soldering, crimping, ESD, board manufacturing (surface mounts), cable management, wire wrapping, and assembly of mechanical parts.
What challenges do you most often face? How do you solve them?
Sometimes I see engineering design issues which can hinder efficiency during subassembly preparation and building of the unit. I work with the Manufacturing Engineering (MFE) team to provide feedback on how to improve the design and build process and to create a better quality product.
How does your role help Germane reach its customer satisfaction goals?
My role is to maintain quality from the moment I receive parts to kit. I verify that build manuals are correct in order to prep and I verify that the parts given to me are correct. I also look out for non-conformances that can affect the quality of our products.
